MAKING SURE THE HOMEFRONT IS SECURE It's important for military families to be well versed in financial literacy as they are already feeling the strain of separation. Financial concerns don't have to add to that burden. Military families live on limited budgets and often must move at a moment's notice so learning key financial literacy concepts like budgeting and automatic savings may help them better weather the economic challenges of military life. MoneyWi$e is a program created by the partnership of Capital One and Consumer Action, a non-profit that helps educate consumers on the basics of personal financial management. The training consists of basic financial management skills, including understanding credit, interest rates and savings. The men and women of our military are on the front lines every day. Efforts like those from Capital One and Consumer Action give them and their families the tools they need to make sound financial decisions -- going a long way in easing their minds.
